Blowing down the rabbit house...

Here at Moonstone Minis Rabbitry, our "rabbit barn" is a covered patio on the north side of the house, with a  7 foot high brick wall along one side and gates at either end. In southern California, our main worry is heat and sun in regard to raising rabbits, so this kind of "barn" works out well. For added protection from the sun we made an awning of shade cloth. Last night mother nature rearranged it for us.

We had the shade cloth anchored to the patio cover with eye bolts, the wind was so strong last night it just snapped this one off.

We zigzagged the line through the eye bolts, so when one was gone, it all came down like a house of cards. You can see we are pretty high tech around here. The flower pot is holding plastic on Harley Girls hutch to keep the rain out.

Here is Harley girl, our wise woman of the rabbitry.  She wants me to bring her a treat. She knows who the soft touch is around here.

This is Mister Spunky, Tangelo, again, he knows who the soft touch is...if I look cute she will come over here.

Everyone is fine...and yes, they got treats!
