Hank just raided his mouse stash from underneath the fridge. Mike thinks we should fit him with a kitty cam...however Mike thinks most of the footage would be of Hanks favorite sleeping places and personal grooming habits. Mike figures it would pick up during the frantic fly chases, stalk the bird in the cage game, play with the rabbit and get my paw bit game, the sneak up on the counter and carry the potato off in our mouth game, play with the lufa in the shower game.....both the lufa and hank need a rest after that game!

Where does the time go, and why so fast. I know it seems to drag for them...but it flew for me. Time rolls out like a red carpet before them. Time is a long train of a dress stretching behind me...

Koffee Klutch

Today is a pot luck breakfast at a members home.I am taking this blueberry-almond french toast bake...supposed to be good for you, no really, got it out of a low fat cook book, to the Friday morning coffee group. These ladies have been together since their kids were in diapers. I joined 4 years ago. We have been through the kids going off to college, deaths of our parents, death of a sibling, two cancer diagnoses, children in rehab, lay offs and the most important question, to dye or not to dye. Hair that is, we are women of a certain age in southern California after all! I get a lot of ribbing about this group, how 1950's. But hey, we all need friends. In my opinion this blog and face book are just 2010 coffee groups. How many of us sit in front of the computer on chat talking about similar things mentioned above with a coffee cup at hand, maybe sometimes a beer!!!!

A fungus amoung us

I decided today, on my daily morning walk, I would look at the ground. My grandfather , who was an excellent hunter form the hills of Arkansas, told me to always watch the ground. So today I made a special effort. I saw at least 4 different types of mushrooms, toad stools or what ever they are called! He also told me to always be listening. I heard a bunch of crows making quite a fuss. Looking in their direction I saw a shadow of a dog on the ground ,as I got closer I could see it was a coyote. He looked at me I looked at him, then we continued on our way. All of this within 50 yards of a 4 lane freeway in Southern California. My Grandfather also said look up, more on what I saw the morning I did that to come.
