Ducklings and lichen

I saw the first ducklings of spring this morning at the park!

swimming along...then,  much to mom ducks dismay, the little goobers decided to get out of the water

and come up on the bank

Take a look around at this great big world

then they turned around,and ran at me! Momma duck was watching me, about 4 feet away, I didn't move...mommas can get in your face if they think you are messing with their kids.

I did get a nice close up... and this video of the duck charge of conejo creek north...

on my way back to the car I saw this cool lichen on the bridge...had to take its picture..
